Every season, we’ll offer up a list of the items we’re loving in the moment, at the shop and beyond—little joys that ground us, delight us, and make life a bit easier.
This gift set was made for us, and it happens to be on sale right now—it’s a collection of less obvious gifts for gardeners and house plant parents (because you know they already have a trowel). Keep notes in the gardening journal, and use the nail brush after getting your hands in the dirt. Kids can use it, too!
We burn candles year-round, but there’s something particularly satisfying about stocking up on them for the colder months. Apotheca Botanica’s, made in Mexico City, are so cool—they exude a wildness we just love, with delicate artistry and attention to botanical detail that mimics the folds and petals of some of our favorite blooms.
Plant nerds, rejoice! We use this plant identifier app all the time—it’s super accurate, ideal for backyard investigations and neighborhood walks.
The soil industry is a surprisingly dirty business. Our plants love this sustainable soil, designed to hold water, provide extra nutrients, and prevent carbon emissions. Synthetic fertilizer production practices (mining carbon sinks for ingredients, shipping materials from the other side of the world, and unrecyclable plastic packaging) add up when it comes to our footprint; this company makes soil from local ingredients and is packaged plastic-free.
We’re obsessed with the little clay Iglesias, and the deeply earthy burn of the piñon bricks.
Hori Hori Garden Tool - back in stock soon!
Hori Hori tools are so versatile: they’re sharp on one end and serrated on the other, and they have measurements for measuring holes. It’s all the benefits of a trowel, but better—and excellent for weeding.
This company started with just one forager: now, their team responsibly harvests plants and uses traditional steam distillation techniques—like infusion, tincture and enfleurage—to create potent bodycare products that take us to our happy place. We particularly love the earthy, bracing Coastal Pine scent.
This company makes their product in small batches, and the mineral sunscreen is super moisturizing—the coconut oil formulation is soothing, and the stick/roller applicator is awesome and easy to stow in your bag.
These new pots have changeable catch trays, and they’re so pretty, we want to use the glazed ones as dishware for dinner parties or the small ones as little soap dishes. We have them available at the shop in four colors—grey, emerald, rust, and rose.
These tapers are locally-made in Denver from used candle castoffs from the wedding industry. We just love that the founder saw this waste and decided to use it as the raw material for a beautiful product. They come in gorgeous colors—we carry Rose, Millet, and Alpin, and will be getting new colors in soon!.
In-Shop Flowers — Aztec and Jazzy Tiny Zinnias & locally-grown "Cupcakes and Saucers" Cosmos
These tiny little zinnias are very cute and fiery. We also got some manzanitas in—there are so many varieties (panchito and red ash, to name a few), and they grow here, but have very Italian and/or New Mexican vibes. The cosmos just came in, and they're so cool! Snap ‘em up quick, we won't have them past the first frost.
You can shop some of these favorites in our gifts section here.
